From Setback to Startup: Why I Started Fast Stop LLC

When I founded Fast Stop LLC, it wasn’t just about starting a trucking company—it was about taking back control of my life and creating opportunities for others who deserve a second chance.

At 18, I made a mistake that put me behind bars. It was one charge, but it followed me. I dreamed of becoming a physical therapist and even applied to multiple colleges but was denied because of my background. That rejection hit hard. After that, I worked jobs that barely paid the bills. I was constantly asking my family for help to get by.

Eventually, I realized I needed something different—something stable. In 2019, I entered the trucking industry and found a place where I could grow. I’ve been behind the wheel ever since, and in 2025, I decided to take it a step further: I launched my own company, Fast Stop LLC.

With the help of my partner, Michael Hodge—who has also overcome his own challenges—we’re building a company that offers more than just freight delivery. We’re building a space for people who need a fresh start, just like we did. I want to create jobs for those who’ve been overlooked and show my kids what it means to turn pain into purpose.
